Godrej Properties, one of the major property developers in India, has added to its presence in Pune. It has bought land of 14 acres in the Kharadi-Wagholi area. The buy is a move by the builder to get into one of the most desired micro-markets in the city.

The investment has been made to build a premium group housing project here. An area of 3.7 million square feet is to be developed by the group. It will generate a revenue of Rs 42 billion. The purchase is part of the expansion strategy of the company. It was made public through a regulatory filing on June 2, 2025.

The area is a popular place for buyers to have a home in the city. It is growing fast because of its ideal location and great infrastructure. Many people who work nearby are moving here. It is close to areas of work like Viman Nagar. It is easy to travel to. The international airport is about 8 kilometres away.

Because it is close to work, easy to get to, and has good roads and services, many new housing projects are coming up here.

Godrej Properties Managing Director and CEO Gaurav Pandey talked about the significance of the buy. He said the Kharadi-Wagholi area is an attractive market. He said the company is happy to enter it. The new project will help the group spread out more in the city. It is part of the company’s strategy to have a strong presence in micro-markets.

He said the company is going to build a high-quality project. It will create long-term value for homeowners. The company, which is based in Mumbai, already has a strong presence in other cities in the country. A few of these are Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune, and Bangalore. It is also building projects in Hyderabad, which reflects its growth plans.
