Godrej Properties Limited has acquired a massive land parcel of 16 acres in the Upper Kharadi area of Pune, with a huge revenue potential of ₹3,100 crores. A premium group housing cum retail project will be soon developed in the land area.
With this new project, Godrej aims to strengthen its footprint in Pune in order to meet the growing real estate demand. The new land parcel will yield 2.5 million sq ft of space.
Upper Kharadi is a potential urban cluster in Pune owing to its outstanding access with all major commercial centres. The area has the best social infrastructure with a lot of schools, malls, hospitals, and luxury hotels. All these features make Pune a sought-after destination for buyers.
The MD of Godrej Properties, Gaurav Pandey, said, “Upper Kharadi has emerged as one of Pune’s top real estate hubs, driven by its improved connectivity. It marks our 2nd land parcel in the Pune micro market. It reflects the area's demand and our vow to expand in urban clusters across India.”
He further added their vision to create a residential and retail hub of high value that will add long-term value for buyers. Earlier this month, they bought a 14-acre land parcel in Kharadi, Pune that has a revenue potential of ₹4,200 crores.
Earlier, Godrej recorded its highest quarterly bookings of ₹10,160 crore in the 4th quarter of FY25, up 7% from the year before. The company’s quarterly bookings have crossed ₹10,000 crores for the first time.
With this new property, Godrej Properties has tilted its position in Pune’s real estate market. The focus on the Upper Kharadi area in Pune aligns with their growth of tapping into rapidly growing urban areas with a legacy of trust.
